The distillery hit financial hardship in the latter part of the 19th century and was eventually so badly damaged by a hurricane that it was shut down for twenty years

was committed to improving distillation techniques

this was specially bottled by Vittorio Capovilla in 2017 for Velier's 70th anniversary

The end result is an oaky and dignified frum
