The short duration of many tracks aimed to accommodate commercial radio, which preferred songs under a few minutes. The cover photo is by Pete Turner, and the original sleeve notes were written by Benny Green. The album is dedicated to Peterson's father, a sleeping car attendant for Canadian Pacific Railways.
