Stenocactus sp. RI8 Caudiciform In good light the colorStenocactus sp. RI8 Also known as Echinofossulocactus. One of my personal favorite genera of cacti. It almost looks more like a piece of art than a plant! The cactus is covered in wavy ribs and long spines. The plant will grow upright in time but stays small enough to be a potted plant even when mature. Flowers are pink with darker central stripes. It is one of the very first cacti to bloom in the late winter or early spring. Mature plants retain
