It is called "Vase Rug." It was probably woven in the 2nd half of 19th c. in greater Mesopotamia region. This was a rug hand knotted upon request from Zeynel Abidin of Mardin, TR, as a Tree of Life symbol which gives life and abundance to the beholder. AB Farquhar acquired it during WWI in Istanbul after he had fled Germany,
