In 2010, five cases were dug up from the Antarctica, one of the malts was Mackinlays Highland Malt, a brand owned by Whyte & Mackay. Richard 'The Nose' Paterson was set to work to recreated this special find, faithfully reproducing the actual Mackinlays whisky taken from the ill fated expedition.
